Person-Centered Therapy
Finding the right therapist is one of the best things you can do for yourself. It's crucial to feel safe, supported, and free of judgment as you process your experiences, explore your thoughts and emotions, gain insights, and work towards personal growth and healing. I believe change begins by understanding who we are, not what is wrong with us. Through an individualized, person-centered approach, I draw from research, philosophy, and evidence-based practices to guide you on your journey towards a healthier relationship with your self and others.
I have experience treating anxiety, depression, trauma and stress disorders, as well as substance use and co-occurring disorders. I've worked with individuals and couples to address the complex issues that arise in modern relationships. I bring a trauma-informed perspective that is grounded in research on human development, attachment, and the influences of environment. I believe that everyone’s path in life is unique. My role is to help you navigate yours, gaining clarity, purpose, and a deeper connection to yourself along the way.
My perspective is informed by over 20 years working with individuals, families, and communities. I have worked with diverse populations across the social, economic, racial, cultural, sexual orientation and gender identity spectrum. I have served a variety of roles in early childhood education, youth mentoring, prison re-entry, child welfare, and community mental health. I have been a therapist for six years, after receiving my Master of Social Work in 2017. I currently hold a LCSW-PIP and provide license supervision for others in the field.
